The 28th Wimbledon Guides is a thriving and busy Girlguiding unit based near Wimbledon Village. We have a Guides group for girls aged 10 to 14 years old and a Rangers (Senior Section) group for girls aged 14+.
This site is mainly for parents of girls in the unit and some pages are only for their use. However, you can find out more about 28th Wimbledon on this site and, if you like what you see, your daughters are welcome to join us! How to joinOur unit is very popular and we often have a waiting list. So it’s best to get in touch as soon as you think your daughter is keen to join our unit.
Applications to join our Guide unit need to be made online at www.girlguiding.org.uk. Once you have registered your interest – and only after then – you can get more information by contacting Sheryll-Ann Ward. Important notice for parents
Almost everything you need should be on this website, so please look here before contacting the leaders. Some pages are password-protected for security reasons: if you don't have the password, please ask one of the leaders next time you pick up your daughter.
Leaders and volunteers
If you would like to volunteer to become a leader or offer your time in any other way to assist our unit, we’d love to hear from you.
Parents can help by assessing badges, organising refreshments, accompanying us on trips or camps and sharing their skills, perhaps by helping with canoeing or being an assessor for the Skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh award. If you know any of our leaders please chat to them about how you can help us. Alternatively, please get in touch via www.girlguiding.org.uk |
